Arctic Voices: Resistance at the Tipping Point
A Talk by Subhankar Banerjee
Subhankar Banerjee is an environmental photographer, writer, educator, and activist, currently Distinguished Visiting Professor in the Department of Art History and Music at Fordham University. He has been a leading international voice on issues of arctic conservation, indigenous human rights, resource development, and climate change.
He published Arctic National Wildlife Refuge in 2003, founded www.climatestorytellers.org in 2010, and was Director’s Visitor at the Institute for Advanced Study at Princeton Unversity in 2011. He is editor of the anthology Arctic Voices: Resistance at the Tipping Point (June 2012).
